Are You True To Yourself?

The year started difficult for me, and it made me get into a situation where I was forced to make a choice. The choice to do what the world expects of me or stay true to who and what I am. I must admit that for a short time I was trying to do what was expected of me to try and fit in. You know, not make waves or let people look at me like something is wrong with me. The easy way out. But the stress and pain it caused in my life was not worth the sacrifice.

You see, this is the fact of life and living a healthy and balanced life. Yes, we live in this world; we are people that need community and to fit in, but we must never lose ourself to that end. We live with each other with love and understanding, and we must be true to who we are.

That is one of the things I love about Life Coaching - it helps you get to know you, the true you. To understand who you are, why you do what you do, and to use that to get to your goals. Goals you set with tools you have. No one can choose things for you and no one can live your live for you. You can just have people that help you see what you need to see. To find your way in your life. And it is a wonderful, freeing feeling when you get to the point where you know yourself and you are true to yourself. Balance. That is why I chose the motto “One of the biggest & best adventures you can go on, is yourself, be brave enough to go on it.”

So being contemplative in my own life and who I am, I am choosing to be true to myself even though a lot of people don’t understand. That is ok - this is me and this is who I am and I am happier and healthier for it.
